Jessica, can you do a little bit of an introduction of yourself first?
Sure! My name is Jessica Smith and I live in a town called Barnsley in South Yorkshire. I’m the owner of Bidds Creations, and I specialise in preserving flowers into resin keepsakes. I first started down this crazy journey by wanting to preserve my own wedding bouquet. I watched hundreds of videos during lockdown and haven’t looked back since!!! This is my absolute passion and I love being able to create something special for people who are dealing with losing a loved one or for celebrating a special occasion.

I am so glad to meet you, Jessica! It’s a wonderful self-introduction. Did you preserve your bouquet in resin or in a shadowbox?
This was one of my first ever big pieces and that’s it nearly 3 years on. It incorporates my cake topper too!

Awww, it’s so cute! During the years of flower preservation, you must try many brands of silica gel crystals. Why do you choose us at the end?
The only other silica I’ve used was Crystal Dry by Glass Cast and came back to Wise Dry because I like that it’s fine silica and you can see the colour change, and can re-active it time and time again.

Flower preservation means the world to me. For the past 19 years of my working career I’ve never really known what I wanted to do and subsequently not been truly happy with the roles I had previously. Now I can finally say I feel so lucky to work with amazing clients and happy in what I’m doing. I just wish I had discovered it 19 years ago.
