Kristina is a dedicated floral preservationist with a lifelong passion for plants and flowers, rooted in her childhood spent in a garden. With a background in landscape design, she began her journey in flower preservation by pressing blooms but discovered a more fulfilling method four years ago: using Wisedry’s products to dry flowers in three dimensions, allowing them to maintain their true form. Her official foray into the business coincided with her wedding five years ago, as she recognized the often-overlooked opportunity to preserve ceremony flowers that carry deep symbolic meaning and memories. Now, with two years officially in the flower preservation business, Kristina values the exceptional quality of Wisedry silica gel, which significantly reduces drying time compared to other brands she has tried. Throughout her career, she has touched many hearts by creating keepsakes from funeral flowers, particularly in cases of sudden loss, helping families cherish their loved ones’ memories. For Kristina, flower preservation is not just a craft; it is a heartfelt mission to capture fleeting moments and transform them into lifelong treasures.
Interview
Kristina, can you do a little bit of an introduction of yourself first?
I am a girl who grew up in the garden and went to college for landscape design. I started drying flowers from early on by pressing but found out about your products 4 years ago to dry them 3D and prefer that method of preserving because it keeps the flowers in their true form.
Thank you so much for your appreciation. How did you start your flower preservation journey? Is there a special moment?
My wedding was my official starting. I think it’s a huge missed opportunity for ceremony flowers to be preserved that I started advertising with my wedding flowers 5 years ago. Many people don’t think of it during the planning process but they hold so much symbolism and memories from the event.

Yeah, I think so. It’s always a pity to see people throw their wilted flowers away when they have to.
Especially when they are so much $$$.
So true. How long have you been in the flower preservation business?
Officially 2 years in August.
During the 2 years of flower preservation, you must try many brands of silica gel crystals. Why do you choose us at the end?
Quality! The dry time seems cut in half compared to the other brands.
Really? What brands have you tried before?
I inherited some silica from a community member that has blue tinge to it, I am not sure the brand but even after properly dehydrating it take awhile for the flowers to get fully dry compared to wisedry.
I see. Thank you so much. Glad that our products can help you preserve flowers better. During the career, you must have preserved memories for many people. Is there a story that leaves you with a strong impression?
Funeral flowers always leaves me touched, especially for sudden deaths. The flowers from the service in a keepsake piece keeps the loved ones close.
Oh, I am so sorry to hear that. Would you like to share a small story behind one funeral flower piece for sudden death?
A family friend’s father, leaving his wife a widow. He has a sudden heart attach while riding his bike and it was no expected at his age. I made 2 pieces for the family to share between them with his flowers.
The friend’s father’s flower preservation
Oh, I am so sorry for the loss. These flower pieces must be very important to them. These pieces are very beautiful. You have done a great job.
Thank you. That’s why I do it to “preserve their memories through nature”.
If you could sum it up in one sentence, what does flower preservation mean to you?
Flower preservation takes the fleeting moment of receiving the flowers and makes it last a lifetime.
It’s amazing. Thank you.
