Interview

Great.Sebrina, can you do a little bit of an introduction of yourself first?

My name is Sabrina, 28 years old and the owner of Sabrina’s Resinart & Candles. I live in the Netherlands.

Nice to meet you, Seb! Sebrina, how and why did you start your flower preservation journey? Is there a special moment?

It started about 5 years ago with some small resin art items like keychains and bookmarks. After seeing some photos from flowerpreservations I knew that’s what I wanted to learn and do.

Wonderful. Is Wisedry the only brand you have tried? Why do you choose us at the end?

No its not the only one, but its the best one because you can easily see when to recharge the silicagel. This is very important for drying flowers because if there is to much moist inside the flowers will rot.

Yes, that’s true. So glad that we can help you preserve flowers better! During the career, you must have preserved memories for many people. Is there a story that leaves you a strong impression?

All the bouquets tell their own story. I preserve a lot of wedding bouquets and each one is different. I love preserving wedding bouquets which are inspired on the wedding bouquet from their parents.

It’s interesting. Could you tell me more about these bouquets? Like, how did they get inspired by their parents’ wedding bouquet? What details or flowers did they refer to parents’ bouquet?

For example, they especially ask for white orchids because their parents had the same. Or they take a picture to the flowerstore to remake their parents wedding bouquets, this is mostly done when one or both of the parents aren’t on earth anymore to watch the wedding. Or they lost a precious person who loved a specific type or color of roses.

Awww, it’s very meaningful. Could you send me some pictures of these kind of bouquet pieces?

For example this bouquet i am pouring at this moment. They wanted lots of white orchids because the parents of the bride had these in their wedding bouquet also. Both of the parents aren’t here anymore so in this way they were still at the wedding. That’s also the reason they wanted the flowers to be preserved so they could keep the beautiful memories. Or this kind of bouquets with a charm of a dear person are beautiful to preserve in resin to keep forever.

Thank you.If you could sum it up in one sentence, what does this job, flower preservation mean to you?

I absolutely love preserving flowers to make the memories last forever. It doesn’t even feel like a job because I simply love what I do.

It’s amazing. Thank you.
