Interview

Tania, can you do a little bit of an introduction of yourself first?

Let’s if I can write without mistakes! I’m passionate about nature, flowers and all type of hancrafts. After 20 years working in team leadership I needed to stop and change my life. I started drying flowers has a hobby and because I wanted to preserve nature and not waste flowers.

One day while in pinterest I saw some works made with resin and I fell in love There was no one to teach and I start doing experiences. The first thing was to be able to dry the flowers, and I tryed salt, microwaves, cat litter, sand… One day in a resin group I heard about wisedry and orderd it. From then on I was able to have flowers with vibrant colors and I felt the motivation to take the step forward and started working with resin.

That’s wonderful. When did you start your flowers preservation journey?

For the last 2 years I have only dedicated myself to preserve bridal bouquets and special meaning flowers and that is very important to me. Having the opportunity to make people relive moments and feelings is very rewarding.

During the pandemic I used floral preservation has a therapy and hobby, far from imaginating the turn in my life and the importance it would have for me. I also tryed the preservation with flowers pressed in books but I like to maintain the structure and colors.

Aww, that’s great. During the two years, have you tried other brand’s silica gel crystals? Why do you choose us in the end?

The first one tryed was wisedry, it was the most recommended in the forums I signed up to try to understand how this world worked. The results were so good that I didn´t need to try any more. People ask me what I use when I share my videos drying the flowers and I always recommend wisedry because I known it`s great and I believe we should help others as I got a lot of important tips from other professionals around the world while strugling with my doubts about resin, process, bubbles…

Thank you so much for your love and support. I totally understand. Helping each other is such a nice thing. During the career, you must have preserved memories fore many people. Is there a story that leaves you a stong impression?

I received a lot of love from people I don`t know. I think that work with flowers, beauty, emotions also helps us to be better persons and more sensitive and concerned with the other. I have several stories but the most important thing in all of them are the bonds we create with customers. My first bride has already contacted me to preserve the bouquet she received when her daughter was born. The most memorable thing must have been the wedding of 2 sisters on the same day and their parents vow renoval. A big box with 3 bouquets all so diferents.

Oh wow! That’s so meaningful.

There was the pressure from the whole family! And they asked to use one flower from the others bouquet in each work.

It is. Truly understand.

They asked not to share anything until they had revealed it to all family menbers. I had all the material on my computer and my studio was robbed. My computer, ceel phone, camera everything was gone in a few minutes that I left my door open while I went to throw out the trash. I lost a lot of material. They sent me photos of the pieces in their homes, I`ll look for them.

Aww that’s three Lady L and three Gentlemen L hahaha

The husbands were twins. So 2 sisters married 2 brothers and they are the owners of a business called ” Brothers”.

Aww it’s so sweet. Last question! If you could sum it up in one sentence, what does this job, flower preservation mean to you?

Working with flower preservation is intrinsically linked to emotions and moments lived and I can help express emotions of love, gratitude , joy, remenber the missed ones. The emotional connection that is established is the most important thing for me, of course being able to make money in something I love is very important too.

It’s amazing. Thank you
