Victoria: Turning Delicate Blooms Into Nature’s Gemstones—Through a Geologist’s Eye @rockpaperesi

Welcome! We’re excited to have Victoria as our Wisedry Brand Ambassador!

Before stepping into the world of flower preservation, Victoria was a geologist—studying crystals, strata, and the layers of time. Today, she brings that same curiosity and precision into her art, transforming flowers into keepsakes that carry stories and memories.

Her first preservation was deeply personal: drying her best friend’s wedding bouquet to create a gift that would last long after the celebration. Since then, she has made it her mission to preserve flowers with the same permanence that the earth gives to gemstones and fossils.

With her unique blend of science and sentiment, Victoria reminds us that flowers can be more than fleeting beauty—they can become treasures that endure.

Hi Victoria, can you do a little bit of an introduction of yourself first?

So I am 29 I live in New York. I am a geologist by training and have recently changed my career to teaching. Ive always been attitude and took on art hobbies but more recently I began working with resin about 5 years ago starting with geodes and Crystal art then casting flowers

How did you start your flower preservation journey? Is there a special moment?

Yes I was the minister at my best friend Melissa’s wedding and hers was the first bouquet I dried in hopes to give her a special present after the wedding. From there I started slowly and began trying new drying techniques and items to gain my own style.

During the years of flower preservation, you must try many brands of silica gel crystals. Why do you choose us at the end?

The colors when activated and when it needs to be recharged The yellow is so bright, And I know when I see brown/ green I need to change and recharge

Wonderful. There are also many silica gel crystals that have indicator, like Activa blue silica gel crystals. Why don’t you choose them?

I have read that the blue ingredient may not be healthy. Not sure how true but it also loses its color fast and all turns a full grey color

I see. Glad that our product can help you preserve better flowers! During your career, you must have preserved memories for many people. Is there a story that leaves a strong impression?

I think anytime I get funeral flowers it’s special. Someone had dropped off a single rose their grandfather had grew in his yard before he passed away and I dried it and turned it into a momento (memory) for them

  1. I love what you have made. I am justing starting out and love the flowers I have dried using Wisedry and now I wondered if you could share the best place to buy the molds for resin.

    • Thanks for your support! It’s always a joy to see our products preserving beautiful blooms.
As for molds, we only have two arch molds available right now — you can find them on wisedry.us (currently shipping within the US only). You can also find our resin that are designed for dried flowers. Unfortunately, we don’t have recommendations for other mold brands at the moment.
