Step 1. It’s recommended to place the packets on a wire rack. This ensures heat dissipates evenly from the bottom and prevents the printing ink from decomposing due to excessive contact heat.
*If you don’t have a wire rack, you can evenly spread the packets in an appropriate container (such as a shallow metal baking sheet) and put it in the oven.

We’re sorry, we haven’t yet tested the oven instructions for the 500g×3 and 500g×4, but they’re already on our schedule. For now, you can follow the 500g×2 oven instructions as a reference. After recharging, check the color of the beads: if the green beads are still green, you can extend the heating time by 15–30 minutes.
Can this product be placed directly on finished cabinetry?
Yes, these desiccant packs do not release any chemical substances and will not damage your countertops. However, after you recharge them for reuse, must make sure to let them cool down completely before putting them back, as the packets could still be releasing moisture when its hot, and the excess heat may cause the packs to fade in color and leave a mark on the surface in rare circumstances.
Hi I bought a 4 pack of the 500g see through packs. I was wondering what the starting weight of each bag is. I’m assuming there’s 500g of beads but I didn’t weigh them when I first opened them so I was hoping to get the starting weight to know when they’re fully dry. Thanks
Hi. Each bag has a starting weight of approximately 520–530g. This accounts for the beads, which may be slightly over 500g, plus the weight of the packaging itself.
Approximately how long does it take the 500g packets to saturate in the pacific northwest? Like Tacoma Washington area? Ball park guess?
The Pacific Northwest has a notoriously damp climate. The lifespan of a 500g packet will heavily depend on how you are using it.
In a completely airtight container/safe (e.g., Pelican cases, sealed plastic totes, ammo cans): lifespan: 6 to 12+ months (or longer).
In an open space (e.g., an open room, damp garage, etc.): lifespan: as quick as 1 to 3 weeks.
What does cool down mean? Room temperature? Cool enough to hold?
Hi. It means cool down to almost room temperature.
I am using mine in a large gun safe. Do you take them out of the plastic before using them ?
Yes. Take the desiccant packets out of the transparent plastic wrapper and place them inside the safe. They will start absorbing moisture immediately once in contact with the air.
My packets are not really orange anymore. They are just clear with a few dark orange beads scattered throughout. What does this mean in term of moisture level?
Hi. The orange beads are color-indicating while the clear ones aren’t (so you just need to monitor the orange ones), but their dehumidifying ability are the same. The dark orange beads you see means they are close to saturation. They will be fully saturated once they look dark green, then you can recharge the packet following our instructions. What weight should the 500 gram packets be before recharging? The instructions that came with the 50 gram packets I also own, say to charge when they weigh 66 grams but I can find no similar instructions for the 500 gram packets.

Can you recharge them by laying them in the sun?
It depends on the heat and humidity of the area you live in. Normally it would be inefficient, but you can give it a try as the result varies accordingly.
What chemical substance is used for the indicator color? Some similar products use toxic colors that can be dangerous during the heating process.
Hi. Thank you for your question. Our orange silica gel beads use methyl violet as the color indicator, with a very low content.
Unlike traditional blue indicating silica gel, our product does not contain cobalt chloride. The safety concerns often discussed with blue silica gel are related to cobalt chloride, which is not used in our orange silica gel.
When regenerated via heating, our silica gel can be safely reused. Please avoid overheating, use in a well-ventilated area during regeneration, and always follow the product instructions to help maintain the best performance and long service life of the desiccant.
