System Components

Step 1. Connect the Hose
- Attach the 1/4″ Air Inlet (hose barb fitting) to the vacuum pump’s inlet port.
- Put two Hose Clamps onto the hose’s two ends.
- Connect one end of the hose to the 1/4″ Air Inlet, and the other to the Vacuum Valve on the gauge. Use a screwdriver to tighten both hose clamps.
Step 2. Install the Vacuum Gauge
- Attach the black Air Filter to the Venting Valve.
- Install the Gauge to Lid
a. Add in order of “Metal Washer, Rubber Washer” onto the gauge’s stem.
b.Insert the stem through the hole on the chamber lid from the top side.
c.Add in order of “Rubber Washer, Metal Washer, Nut” onto the underside of the lid. Tighten the nut using a wrench to ensure a firm seal.
Step 3. Fill the Pump with Oil
- Remove the Exhaust Filter from the Oil Filling Port.
- Pour in the Pump Oil carefully, ensuring the oil level stays below the maximum oil line.
Follow the instructions and operate with care.
Step 1. Place the container of epoxy inside the chamber; close the lid.
Step 2. Set up the valves:
- Open the vacuum valve
- Close the venting valve
Step 3. As pressure decreases in the chamber, bubbles will be released to the surface.
Step 4. As pressure decreases in the chamber, bubbles will be released to the surface.
- Monitor closely. If the epoxy tends to overflow, briefly close the vacuum valve and pump to stabilize. You can resume after epoxy settles.
Step 5. Degassing is complete when the epoxy is clear and bubble formation ceases.
- Typically 5-12 minutes, depending on epoxy type and volume.
Step 6. Close the vacuum valve and pump. Slowly open the venting valve to safely equalize pressure.
- Once the pressure is equalized, open the lid and remove the epoxy.

Important Note:
Read this manual thoroughly before operation. Failure to comply may result in equipment damage or personal injury.
Scope of Application:
- This product is specifically designed for degassing materials such as epoxy resins, silicone, and plaster. Use beyond the specified scope is prohibited.
- Operation is permitted only by trained personnel who have read these instructions. Children, individuals who have not read the instructions, or those with physical or mental conditions that may impair their ability to operate the equipment safely are prohibited from using it without supervision.
Preparation Before Use:
- Environmental Requirements:
- Ensure the operating area is well-ventilated and away from flammable, explosive, or corrosive liquids/gases/dust.
- Place the unit on a flat, stable, and non-slip surface.
- Safety Precautions: Dust masks, safety goggles, and work gloves must be worn to avoid contact with harmful fumes or chemical substances.
Electrical Safety:
- Only connect to a stable, compatible, and grounded power source (110V-120V, 60Hz).
- The following operations are strictly prohibited:
- Using a 3-to-2 prong adapter, ungrounded extension cords, or extension cords with incorrect wire gauge;
- Modifying the power plug or pulling the power cord to move the equipment;
- Operating in humid environments or with wet hands;
- Using the equipment if electrical components are damp before they are completely dry.
Operating Procedures:
- Prohibited Gases/Substances for Pumping:
- Flammable, explosive, or toxic gases;
- Chemical gases that corrode metals or react with pump oil;
- Gases containing particulate dust or a large amount of water vapor.
- Temperature Limits: Temperature of pumped gas ≤ 60°C (140°F); ambient temperature 5°C-60°C (41°F-140°F).
- Critical Restrictions:
- Never run the pump dry (without oil) or block the Exhaust Port.
- Do not use as a compressor or transfer pump.
- Avoid touching the motor housing or oil tank during operation (risk of burns).
- Do not open the vacuum chamber until internal and external pressure has equalized.
Operating Procedures:
- Immediately stop using the equipment if damage or malfunctions occur. Use only original manufacturer parts for repairs/replacements.
- If electrical components get wet, disconnect power and dry thoroughly before restarting.
- After power interruptions, unplug the device and reconnect it once power is fully restored.
1. Low Vacuum
- Check if the oil level is above the minimum oil level line.
- Check the hose, vacuum gauge, and other connections for air leaks (especially if the installation order of washers is correct)
- Pull out the vacuum gauge’s sealing plug, wait for 2 seconds, then reinsert it to reset the internal pressure of the gauge.
- Check if the pump oil is emulsified or dirty – replace with new oil.
Note: The vacuum gauge’s reading is the pressure difference between the inside and outside. If your location has a high altitude, the atmospheric pressure will be lower, which will cause the vacuum gauge reading to be smaller. However, the performance of vacuuming will not be affected.
2. Unable to Start Pumping
- The chamber may already be under high negative pressure—open the venting valve to release some pressure, then restart the pump.
- Oil temperature may be too low—open the venting valve to allow airflow, start the pump intermittently, or warm the pump oil slightly.
- The lid may not be sealing properly—adjust the lid to ensure a tight fit; try gently pressing down on the lid for better contact.
3. Smoke or Noise During Operation
It is normal for rotary vane vacuum pumps to produce some smoke and noise during operation. Wisedy uses carefully selected components to ensure that both smoke and noise levels remain below the market average.
4. Oil Spitting
Excess oil—drain oil until it falls below the maximum fill line.
- Keep the pump clean and prevent foreign objects from entering.
- Always maintain the correct oil level. Running the pump without oil is strictly prohibited.
- Regularly check the condition of the pump oil. If the oil becomes dirty, cloudy, or contaminated with water or other volatile substances—resulting in a decrease in vacuum performance—it must be replaced promptly.
To change the oil:- Run the pump for 30 minutes to thin the oil.
- Stop the pump and drain the oil through the oil drain port.
- With the oil filling port open, run the pump for 1–2 minutes. During this time, add a small amount of clean pump oil through the oil filling port to help flush out residual oil inside the pump.
- Repeat this flushing process a few times.
- Once the pump is clean, reinstall the oil drain cap and refill fresh, clean pump oil through the filling port up to the indicated oil level.
- Disassembly or internal maintenance must be performed by professionals with experience in vacuum pump repair, or you may contact us for support.
