Crystal, can you do a little bit of an introduction of yourself first?

Aloha, My name is Crystal and I’m a flower preservation artist in the United States and have been working with flowers in some way my entire life.

How did you start your flower preservation journey? Is there a special moment?

I started preserving flowers about 6 years ago. My daughter hand picked me her first flower and gave it to me. I thought to myself, “I wish I could keep this forever.” I knew there had to be a way. I started doing some online research on preserving flowers and saw that keeping her first flower was possible! I purchased a bag of Wisedry preserving silica sand and put the flower and the silica in a small cup. After two weeks I had her forever flower. I knew at that moment I wanted to help others preserve such precious memories.

Awwww. It’s so sweet. I am so glad that we can help you preserve these treasure flowers. During the years of flower preservation, you must try many brands of silica gel crystals. Why do you choose us at the end?

Wisedry silica sand works much better for my preservation needs because it preserves the very flower evenly and beautifully. It very rarely sticks to the delicate petals but when it does it comes off very easily and leaves no indent behind. I love how small the crystals are because getting in between each petal and small space is very important for the preservation process. Wisedry provides the perfect product to perfectly preserve any flower.

I am so flattered. Thank you so much for your love. As you have mentioned, you have preserved memories fore many people around the world. What were you thinking while drying these flowers? Would you be nervous about it?

Since flowers can be so unpredictable at times I definitely was nervous preserving flowers that I had never worked with. Because flowers can be unpredictable at times. But I went into every process just as if I was preserving flowers the very first time. The flowers I’m working with could be from their daughter’s first flower, or a wedding or from someone they love. So all that love that went into my daughters flower, goes into everyone’s I work with. My heart goes into every memory I make for someone.

You must have preserved memories for many people. Is there a story that leaves you a strong impression?

Honestly the story that has the strongest impression is my daughter’s flower. Without her love for flowers, it never would’ve opened up this amazing opportunity for me to preserve memories for others. I truly owe this amazing journey to her and it’s been such an honor to share it with others. I hope that by sharing my love for what I do with others will open doors for someone else and encourage them to do what they love. The smallest imprints in our life can make the biggest impact.

Flower preservation for me means memories to last a lifetime.
