Interview

Michelle, can you do a little bit of an introduction of yourself first?

Sure!My name is Michelle Marron Jimenez, and I’m the Owner and Artist of Fruit Of The Bloom Boutique, a floral preservation studio based in Los Angeles.

How did you start the flower preservation journey? Is there a special moment?

Flowers were a really important part of my wedding. In fact, I choose to get married in April so that we could include fresh ranunculus in our wedding – my favorite flower. We got married in April 2022 – pushed from 2021 due to COVID – and I was researching what we could do with our flowers post-wedding. It seemed so wasteful and sad to throw them away and that’s when I first heard about floral preservation. I practiced for several months and used WiseDry from the very beginning! but let’s just say that our wedding flowers are not displayed around our house, ha. After many additional months of practice, as well as the quitting of my former career in television publicity, I officially launched Fruit Of The Bloom to preserve the sentimental bouquets of others.

Awwww, glad that our product can help you preserve your bouquet! The ranunculus must been dried beautifully!

Always! They have long been my favorite flowers, and it’s just wonderful that they’re also a wedding favorite and dry so beautifully.

That’s excellent! Thank you so much for your trust and love! During your career, you must have preserved memories for many people. Is there a story that leaves you a strong impression?

Thank you for the great product. A sweet young woman named Tifnee wanted me to preserve the rose petals from her sister’s memorial. She wanted me to include a couple of meaningful trinkets: a dragonfly charm to remind her of this poem called “The Dragonfly” and a Tinkerbell from a bracelet that her sister loved and wore. The items meant so much to her, and I know that they are visual reminders of her sister that she can look at any time she wants.

Awww, it’s so cute and heartwarming. If you could sum it up in one sentence, what does this job, flower preservation mean to you?

Life, like flowers, is fleeting, and it’s important for me to do something that not only brings me joy every day but also brings clients’ joy.

It’s amazing. Thank you so much!
